It's time for me to hit the road again, but this time it's only for a short drive to Alabama to pick up my grandmother and come back the next day. Then in another week I'll be headed back to Ithaca, this time without Robyn.
Speaking of Robyn, at school the boys are picking on her, asking her "Are you a lesbian?" repeatedly.
They're asking her the question repeatedly because they found out that that question doesn't bother Robyn, but that asking her over and over again gets on her nerves. She's not embarrassed or hurt by the question. She's just annoyed by the repetition. What they haven't figured out yet, is that they could ask Robyn any question repeatedly and it would annoy her, but she still wouldn't do what any other kid would do and go ahead and tell the teacher.
